| Introduction |
H11 steel is one of the three most commonly used hot work die steels in European die casting industry. It has fine carbides, uniform distribution, good cold and hot fatigue resistance and corrosion resistance, good cold and hot workability, good hardenability, thick thermal strength, oxidation resistance, high toughness and wear resistance at medium temperature. |
2.Heat Treatment Process
Spheroidizing annealing: 860-890 ºC * 3H furnace cooling, 730-750 ºC * 4H isothermal, furnace cooling to 550 ºC below furnace air cooling. Preheating: 600-650 ºC * 2.oh + 830-850 ºC * 2.oh. Quenching: 1000-1030 ºC * 1.0h, take out the oil for cooling, and take out the air for cooling when the workpiece is smoking and not on fire. Tempering: 530-560 ºC * 2.5h, air cooling three times
3.Application
Suitable for high speed hammer forging die. The hardness of aluminum and magnesium alloy hot forging die is 42-50hrc. The hardness of black metal forging die is 40-50hrc. It is suitable for hot working die steel with high risk of cracking. The die life of this die steel is 1.5-3 times that of 5CrNiMo steel
